Dear TOL High School Parents,
Each year in September, the Tree of Life High School students participate in an annual retreat. This year we will go as a high school to Round Lake Christian Camp on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 19 and 20. The bus will leave from our Northridge campus on Thursday morning (normal school hours), stay overnight at the camp and return to the Northridge campus by normal school dismissal time on Friday.
These times away from school provide an important aspect of building the culture of family. The activities create an environment of team building and camaraderie as well as specific spiritual challenges…all outside of the normal classroom setting. We have found this to be quite valuable in achieving some of our goals for the school year. Students will have specific breakout times with just their class and other times where we will engage and grow together as a high school.
By now, you have most likely signed the required permission slips for all field trips for this school year. If not, you can do so by logging into Renweb and completing all of the back-to-school forms. These permission forms are very important!
It is also important to understand that these are two school days and academic attendance is marked for all students.
If your student needs medications Thursday or Friday, please complete the medical forms on Renweb under the school information and web forms categories. Mrs. Osborn, our school nurse, will organize and manage medicinal distribution for the trip. Contact Mrs. Osborn (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions. She will be attending the retreat.

We are very excited about this time for our high school. Please pray that God would use this time to as an encouraging moment in our journeys together.
